Since 1994 Manuel Filipe P. C. M. Costa organized and coordinated eleven research projects in pedagogical aspects of physics and science and technology teaching at different school level and backgrounds. He produced educational hands-on experiments kits, several research papers and delivered organized or induced a large number of lectures, training courses, hands-on activities’ sessions, science fairs and students’ science clubs. He is the coordinator of the European Network “Hands-on Science” of the Comenius 3 action of the Socrates program of the European Commission that aims the promotion of an enlarged use of hands-on experiments in science education.
