Do you have some kind of regular meetings, where and when? Who can be invited – official representatives of member institutions, their managers/directors, officers responsible for international co-operation, delegates?
NYEX wants to have three types of meetings: 1. a meeting of NYEX representatives, where exchange of best practices can take place, joint NYEX programs can be decided and the NYEX governing Board can be elected; 2. an International Conference of Young Scientists: this is a conference where selected young scientists all over the world can have ten minute oral presentations (and or posters, based on their preference) in any scientific disciplines (humanities and social sciences included); 3. conferences concentrating on specific topics: as NYEX develops, we would like to establish regional centers for certain scientific disciplines (e.g. astronomy or molecular biology), which may organize their own scientific conferences in the topics of the center inviting students from all NYEX member organizations to participate All these conferences will be developed gradually. For the first type of conference the 2004 October 1st to 3rd Conference in Eger, Hungary was a good example. A precedessor of the second type of conference is organized by the Hungarian Research Student Association (http://kutdiak.hu) on February 25th to 26th 2005 in Pecs, Hungary and the Visnjan Observatory (http://www.astro.hr) is a good example for a regional center of a specific scientific discipline.
