Thomas Wendt (Germany)

Extensive teaching and organisational experience as project manager of the ExploHeidelberg teaching lab. This lab offers high school classes the possibility to perform molecular biology experiments (e.g. PCR, plasmid isolation, protein expression). I am responsible for running the courses, training teachers, organizing the facility equipment and coordinating the activities. Extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of Structural Biology, especially Electron Microscopy and Image Processing Techniques. Good working knowledge of Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Molecular Biology. Member of the Biophysical Society and  the Microscopy Society of America.
